hey, carrie......
those cookies, from the 4th of july!!! like i said, those are the best cookies i ever had. when i saw the heath bars go in, i was not so sure...... i love heath bars, don't get me wrong. but, after i took that first bite..... hey, i'm converted! i have a confession: i 8 8!

i drove home that evening, but was unable to do so until i devoured the last one! miraculously, while it had been cooking, an image had bubbled to its surface: the pope and the virgin of guadalupe, obviously doing something nasty under her shround! I know i could have sold it on ebay for a pretty penny, but i ate it anyway!

thanks for cooking. and hope to see you soon. tom.

Hey old friend,

I love that you are into this. I just made a raised bed in my backyard of a duplex I share with two people. It is sprouting heirlooms and I am really glad so I don't have to buy at the store. Suger snap peas are my favorite though. I am learning a lot through a friend I worked in a ministry with (capperaum friendship) and her dad is a plant breeder so she has a big garden with zuccini, even artichokes. I get to house sit soon, woo-hoo. It will be a nice break from close quarters here. It sounds like you cottage is so lovely, and an apricot tree to boost! Say hi to your peeps for me if you want. Any friend of Carrie's is a friend of mine.

I love the idea here and hope you get recognized...

Hi Carrie! Great looking site. I've just started blogging myself this spring about eating food I grow myself on an urban farm near my house here on the east coast. I've bookmarked your site and will check back regularly.

ps - Ellen, if you read these comments again, feel free to see if there's any material you can get for your article from my blog. Don't mean to piggyback on Carrie's glory here, but our urban farm in Philadelphia can use all the media exposure it can get. Thanks!!! :)
